HABITAT

18.00 - 45.00

The Habitat 67 housing Complex on the Cité du Havre Island in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Designed by architect Moshe Safdie.
The project was originally conceived as a master’s thesis to propose an experimental solution for high-quality housing in very dense urban environments (1961) and was later built as the Canadian Pavilion for Expo 67 and retained its original purpose even after the Fair’s completion.
The project was constructed from 354 identical and completely prefabricated modules referred to as “boxes”.
