PALLASSEUM

2.00 - 45.00

The Pallasseum, aka Sozialpalast, is one of the best examples of brutalist architecture in Berlin. Built on the site of the torn-down Berliner Sportpalast between 1974 and 1977, it was designed by Jürgen Sawade. Constructed completely from concrete and home to more than 2,000 people, the building was the center of some controversies. However, with the help of several initiatives and social workers, the situation there has improved significantly in recent years. The building has held "protected" status since 2017.
