ICC

18,00 - 45,00

The one and only Internationale Congress Centrum Berlin — aka ICC Berlin! One of the literally biggest highlights not just of the Westend district, but of all Berlin.
It’s one of the largest conference centers in the world and one of the most meaningful structures of the German postwar era — and unfortunately, also one of the many victims of asbestos, which (among other reasons like high operating costs) led to the closure of this colossal building in 2014.

Nicknamed “the spaceship,” it was designed by Ralf Schüler and Ursulina Schüler-Witte and opened in 1979 with a relatively futuristic design and capacity for around 8,000 people.
The building has been the subject of many debates — especially concerning its future — particularly since it was granted protected status in 2019. So, it remains to be seen what lies ahead for this sleeping beauty.
